The paper contains. Firstly: try to catch the harasser and ask for help from those surrounding you and ask them if they can help with testifying in regard to the incident. Secondly: go to the nearest police station so that the victim asks the police to make a report against someone who harassed her in street. Thirdly: while making the report the victim will be asked some questions as following: what's your name? Do you have ID? What's your address? Did you catch the harasser? Where is the harasser? Are there eyewitnesses for the incident from people surrounding you during the incident? How did the incident ?happen? Where did the incident happen? On the Occasion of the International Women's Day Cairo Center for Development and Law Announces the Results of Salama and Aman Competition to Combat Violence against Women In a ceremony held by Cairo Center for Development and Law, on the occasion of the International Women's Day, awards of Salama and Aman Competition were distributed. The Cairo Center for Development launched the fourth round of "Salama and Aman" competition for male and female young media personnel in audio, visual, electronic and printed media means. The competition aims at raising awareness and defending issues of violence survivors to choose the best reportage, program, news…etc. as media means is one of the most important tools of combating violence against women.
Cairo Association for Development and Law praises the judgment of administrative court in Alexandria regarding mother's right to choose the school system for her children. The court judges that the second clause in the article no. 54 in law no. 126 of 2008 is unconstitutional in parts regarding amendment of some provisions in child law no. 12 of 1996.
Cairo Association for Development and Law expresses its full solidarity with the four-year female child, the victim of Al Agami accident in Alexandria, who was raped and killed and was found naked in Al Agami in west Alexandria.
Cairo Center for Development is in full solidarity with the journalist and the founder of the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights and the human rights defender Hossam Bahgat who is provisionally imprisoned by the military prosecution for 4 days; the matter which contradicts article no. 41 of journalism law that states that there shall not be provisional imprisonment in crimes of press publishing.
Cairo Center for Development has monitored the advertisements and programs which were broadcasted in the beginning of Ramadan and that watched by millions in Egypt and Arab World to find them unfortunately support culture of sexual harassment and domestic violence. The center added that such programs and advertisements encourage sexual violence crimes against women and exploited them as propaganda materials.
